A few weeks ago I would have.

However, I've been running without a steering damper, including the Lakes, and haven't felt anything remotely like needing one. If and when it shakes it's head I think I'll just make a plate up for the chassis!
 
It's an interesting one, mine feels noticeably more keen to run me into a tree without a damper, but it is on stupid.com wheels and ditchfinder tyres :rolleyes:

Oh it's a tad twitchy, but that's more 'cos of the lift and nothing done to the radius arms to compensate .. :)

Steering damper wopuldn't (shouldn't?) change that.

Actually I've never really had issues _ever_ with the Disco needing a steering damper, and as the same axles are now on the Defender it does seem like they're setup OK and that the steering isn't too far out of decent setup.
