I have got to do the glow plugs on one of my P38's.
Warm the engine up before trying to remove them and some Plusgas.

WD40 is a water dispersant not a release agent.

Many use a slide hammer, but I'll expect a more knowledgeable dude will say otherwise

Copperslip the threads on the new ones before you fit them.

You could always use a bit of heat on the plugs as long as you protect the wiring with a wet cloth.

Should be ok once the engine warmed up abit
Tighten them "ever so slightly" to Crack the crap and then remove. Plus gas, wd40 or any lube fine enough to run into the threads. You can spray the lube on a couple of days earlier and while using the car it'll slowly start to help.
