W willdisco New Member May 4, 2006 #1 i have a grinding noise coming from my gear box area but only if i'm not putting any stress on the transmission. noise stops when i apply the hand brake a little. any ideas? just changed transfer box and am affraid that its gone again.

ormus New Member May 5, 2006 #3 handbrake drum often collects water and mud etc.. then starts making funny noises. just like a grinder in fact!
