Hello all,
I am new to the group, but a multiple Land Rover owner over the last 16 years or so, starting with a Disco 300 TDi, then RR P38 4.0, Freelander 1 (still owned), Disco 3 GS (2007), Disco 4 GS (2011) and currently a Disco 4 HSE Luxury (2015).
My latest Disco has been with my local dealer and now back to the supplying dealer 100 miles away who together have had it for a couple of weeks. The car is only six months old but has now on three occasions developed a fault in traffic that leaves me with no transmission and no throttle response. The only indication of a fault (aside from not moving and being beeped at!) is that the gear indicator light on the rotary selector flashes red instead of being constant red. It is cleared by shutting off the engine and re-starting. LR cannot find the fault as the car is not logging it and they say that this is not a known defect - does anyone know differently??
Thanks
Robert
