Hi there,
I joined the zone about a month ago. Ive had my 71, 109 pickup for 18 months now and it siuts me fine. I am used to discomfort being a motorcyclist for more years than I care to count. The Landy is now in it's element as we have recently moved to the Isle of Harris. I am amazed at how a 34yr old vehicle can still work hard without complaint. Will post a photo when I get me head round digital photography.
Seasons Greetings, Pete:D

Welcome chap.

There really does seem to be a real thing with motorbikes & Landies. Those more years than you care to? Dun'/doin' those too..........Maybe with Landies it's the not having to endure that growing (every year!) pain in you fingers as they warm up again when you stop........Maaaan, I hated that! In a Landy you're cold, but not that cold!

Er, pardon my total ignorance, but where the b*ggery b*llox is the Isle of Harris? I'm guessing it ain't a very big Isle?

Best,
Marcus.

Hi here Marcus, thanks for your note. The Isle of Harris is part of the Outer Hebrides now known as The Western Isles off the west coast of Scotland. Famous for Harris Tweed.

Thought there must be a connection with the tweed & all that. Well, back of beyond, perfect place for a basic, go on forever motor.

Enjoy!
