Hi everyone.

I've always liked Land Rovers, my 1st car when I passed my driving test was a 1963 2a swb truck cab, which I had bought off the then chairman of the South Downs LRC & whilst learning to drive, I did the various repairs to get it back on the road for when I passed my test, I was also able to use the work as part of my apprenticeship. I kept it for about 5 years, until I had a moment of madness. & got a wife & got rid of the landy.

Eventually came to my senses & got rid of the wife & got heavily involved in the American car & drag racing scene, before selling my last drag car in 2010.

Now with a much nicer fiancée, who has allowed me to get a 4x4 as well as a family car, after we found out my disabled mother-in-law couldn't get in & out of the Nissan Pathfinder.

Picked up a 2001 (Y) TD4 Freelander commercial, which suits my needs ideally for managing 8.5 acres of woodland, pest control & airgun coaching.

I'll be looking to have it as an ongoing project to improve off road capabilities & set it up to carry all my airgun coaching gear, camping gear & other bits 'n' bobs.

Looking forward to learning more about the Freelander & sharing my experiences of mine

Thanks

Thanks for the welcomes.

Are there any clubs in Sussex flat? I can't find anything for the South Downs LRC, so guessing they may have folded.

We used to do most of the green lanes in East Sussex, Marshall at Petley Wood, Battle & 1 of the members owned a great woodland site just outside Uckfield, where we'd do RTV trials.

Welcome.

Mud Monsters are based in East Grinstead and also have their own pay & play site.

I'm in Surrey.
