hello,just told mi wife ya from lyme regis and she's got that ow i wish it wa holiday time look on her face!we luv lyme,we stay in west bay near brid we luv it.just wish we could afford to move down there!

Hi and welcome.

IIRC early Freelanders gave clutch trouble when towing, usually 1.8 K Series engined ones that are pretty gutless in a 5dr.

To be fair you don't see all that many FRs towing, thats not to say none are used to tow with. I would think that a TD4 would be the best bet. Best engine of the bunch.
