hi all
I have decided to bite the bullet. I have been having an affair with my good friends 2002 RR L322 Td6 for a while now and now i feel like it is time to marry my mistress.
Am i completely mental to be thinking of entering this long term affair of my own or not. what are your opinions on it?
I am at the moment trying to source a 2003/4 RR td6 either A HSE or Vogue although the vogues are proving to be quiet slim on the ground over here in Ireland.
I have looked at a 2004 td6 hse with 99k on the clock, finished in grey with beige leather with the air suspension recently rework as well as having a new gearbox fitted 12k miles ago all in for 15k euro.
Or there is a 2003 4.4 vogue with 72k in blue with beige leather but it will probably need alot of work in the next 20k for 10k euro.
I do quiet alot of miles about 21000mi per annum other wise i would be in the market for a 4.4 but at 6euro a gallon for petrol over here in ireland at the moment and annual road tax of 1600 euro i just cant justify it.
Although i have thought about a LPG conversion but reputable people to fit it are not really available over here to my knowledge.
Is the 22/23 mpg to the gallon realistic cause my mates only does about 17 average taking it easy although i am convinced his turbo is goosed due to the plumbs of black smoke under full acceleration.
If any one has any advice or things to look out for when buying i would appreciate it very much.
