Hi guys & gals. im new to this site and to landys and i love them both . ive just got a disco 200tdi with a few problems!!! one is the fan it spins all the time even when the engine is stone cold is this right ? any advice welcome. Thanks very much.

when u say it spins all the time, have you tried turning it when the engine is off and cold?its a viscous coupling that should become bound or solid if you will when things get hot, when cold you should be able to spin it without the engine on, maybe the coupling has seized or maybe its just getting dragged round a bit, check and report back.

oh and welcome, its -25 here today so less moaning about the cold, bloody woollyback ;)

Hi Steve and :welcome2: to the asylum!
Your fan will probably have a vicscous coupling, which means that when it gets warm it fully engages with the spindle. Until then it will spin freely, so nothing to worry about!
