I'm looking for advice re -
- window regulator cables, nearside one snapped, probably ages ago - can the cable be sourced individually? - regulator motor works fine, all other wearing bits cleaned up OK. Has anyone tried using other cables, like motorcycle clutch/throttle ones? is there anything else that would fit. The 'snap' on a moving area so a weld/electrical connector would snag. I see that most scrappyards Freelanders have already had the n/s regulators removed, so I'm guessing this is a known fault. Would the offside cables be the same lengths?
- sunroof - similar problem, but as yet I haven't got round to removing the headlining to check exactly what's gone wrong. Is there a quick way into the gubbins?
- Diff mountings - seem worn - can they be replaced without removing the diff completely. Is there an easy way to do this job, & if anyone has hints/tips/photos of similar work in progress I'd be grateful.
