Hi folks, after blundering down a RUPP today by accident and surviving a nerve wracking downhill gully straddle:eek:, I reckon I need a GPS unit in future, can anyone recommend a PDA (cheap old model that I can get from ebay) that'll take the Memory Map OS maps?

yeah ipaqs seem to be the preferred generic PDA

I use a palm tungsten III and a bluetooth GPSr but then I only use coordinate data with a compass nav screen, no maps.

The only problem you're likely to have is if it has TomTom on as well. You need to edit the registry and unhide the GPS so MammeryMap can use it as well

Blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah bladiddy blah de blah.........thas wot it sounded like ter me.

I use a Dell axim X30 with no problems. using a NMEA compatable wired GPS off ebay for 30bucks. maps on SD card.
