thanks very much pal how do you do that then or is it magicians code:D.Anyway what are we all thinking about the liners:confused:

why you getting to the best part well the bit i like most putting it back together. dont forget you need new head bolts now come on get on with it

new gaskets ,head bolts, belt, and water pump in the post and while its off the inlet is having a good clean and maybe a lick of black paint:D.Also doin the sump gasket as it was like a sieve:confused:

If the head gasket has gone between the cylinders and is pressurising the cooling system then it it almost certain that the liners have slipped, there is no water jacket between the cylinders so the only way coolant can get into a cylinder is from between the liner and block. The only way to see this is with a pressure test at a machine shop. Unless it's really bad then you wont see it with the naked eye.
