Yorkshire Dales National Park Association (YDNPA) have just published their consultation into the permanent, year round criminalisation of all recreational vehicle users on Gorbeck Road.

There is a proposed permanent traffic regulation order for Gorbeck Road, which runs between Langscar Gate through to near Langcliffe. This proposal is now being consulted on, and the consultation will run through to 30 May 2010. The documents on the link below give details of the proposed order, the reasons why it is proposed to make it, and the evidence that supports the order.

Will the green laning/trail riding community rise to this occasion and defend what LARA won back or are we all a bunch of keyboard warriors, whinging, moaning, complaining but never actually fighting back?

So what do YOU think we should do about this grotesque act of access fascism?

In many ways this is a test case that has importance way beyond the actual amenity value of this one lane so over to you guys and girls!

Anyone wishing to make a representation on the proposed order must make them in writing, stating their reasons, to:

Or by e mail to mark.allum@yorkshiredales.org.uk

Please forward this information on to anyone you think relevant.
