As my Discovery approaches nearly 20yrs old what a great all round bit of kit!!
Yes......spent 2 weeks welding it up, stripping and cleaning it, fixing and repairing faults......and some funds on accessories, rubber matts, seat covers.

Finally had my LED lights and stereo system fitted, my Discovery is almost complete.......all but a annoying whining noise from 50-65 only on the throttle, ease off, it stops, checked all wheel bearings, so I think I will have to book it in to a local Indy 😏 also to get the starting sorted, it always starts but you have to keep the starter turning over and Rev it to get it going (injector seals???) then it will be perfect!!!

Next job I was thinking of a Terrafirma +2" lift kit, medium load & 30mm spacers.

Looks nice ChugChug2 ! Wish mine was that clean lol. And no leaky sunroofs either!

I'm doing something similar, but taking a different approach - I'm talking about the lift. I love the ride quality of my Disco and after fitting over-firm Old Man Emu suspension to my old Td5 Disco, I'll be using TerraFirma lift blocks instead this time, keeping the existing springs and shocks or replacing like for like if they're knackered.

Before buying new suspension, I'd strongly suggest trying to blag a ride in someone with identical suspension - fitting the +2 kit to the Td5 was my only regret as it ruined the ride quality on that truck and made it quite crashy. That was using 'light' spec on the front and 'medium' on the rear (as I had a big roof rack, roof tent and all the associated camping clobber in the back).

Thank you for the reply, at the moment my Disco has a lovely ride, just sits slightly low on the rear......I certainly don't want a harsh ride, so may re-evaluate that idea 👍 I tow a 3.5ton trailer occasionally and it did pull the rear low.....could be tow bar set up/weight on trailer??

Great cars though!!!

I did replace lift pump, as other one was making a loud ticking noise, but it was doing the same before.....does sound like an air leak, I will have a good rummage through your list and see. Cheers 😊
