Hi guys.
Just saying hello - I've joined because I'm tired of not really getting good enough answers from dealers and mechanics - so I'm posting a couple of technical questions in the other section.
We've been Defender owners for about 13 years - 12 of which were with our trusty 110 300 tdi. Used for a mix of business and leisure - a little 'light' off roading. We decided to upgrade this year mainly because of the seating arrangements in the XS...and the thought of it being the last true Defender being made.
We got very used to the way the 300 tdi ran and I got to know and love it a lot, doing the odd bit of work here and there myself (the highlight being a replacement of rear door, including re-fitting of central locking system!! Very proud moment). I'm not a mechanic, and to be honest don't have a lot of technical knowledge, but I tend to go with my gut feelings on things..and I seem to do alright with that instinct. Which is why I have the questions about our new XS...
So, nice to say hello. Any help and advice that you can offer based on your experience would be gratefully received...
Thanks
