Recently had a re-map and today drove home from Redditch to North Yorkshire, admittedly mostly motorways, and clocked 34.6 mpg. Quite chuffed but I'm not heavy footed anyway.
However - was overtaken by a big black car doing close on 80mph on the A1M, reg number G3 HTY.
It was a hearse!....

Yes, now that they don't make Royal Enfields there anymore, it's not got a lot going for it. Although it did have a decent scrap yard not too far away.

There’s a guy on the little industrial estate in the Enfield area who makes matrix for rads of various motors. Got one for my 300tdi some years ago. He was very reasonable price wise.

Not yet Alan. Not been able to get back up to dealer for one or two domestic reasons. And what a time of year to be missing it. Fingers crossed for this month. How are you doing?
On the mend slowly, walking a bit of a tightrope at the moment. The hospital think they known what is causing the strokesj just waiting for the tablets to sort the blood and heart out before they kill me.I'm luckier than the guy in the next bed to me they foundhe has a brain tumour :eek:all the best to you and your better half;)

Just keep mending Alan. Once they balance the meds you will gain more confidence hopefully - the insecurity of waiting must be awful but I'm sure it will straighten out. The docs should be grateful they're not trying to mend a sick hippo!

I used to know a funeral parlor manager who had the same philosophy. They used to run DS420's in those days & he loved giving the things some welly, said 'you should see the ****e that came out of the tail-pipe'
I remember buying a Humber Hawk that had been a Taxi, way back in 1982. The M53 had just opened so I took it for an Italian tune up,one evening,I was being flashed by every car I overtook, when I checked my mirror there was lumps of glowing carbon swirling out of the exhaust it must have looked like I'd pushed the throttle through the reheat gate. Met its owner/operator later and he told me he'd never done over 30mph:D

Did it work better afterwards.
