now that the weathers gettin a bit finer, I would like to take the van top off my ser 3 and run about topless. I did this a few summers ago but got caught out a few times by unexpected precipitations... Given that my truck doesnt have any fixings for canvas, does anyone know if there is a sort of a hood that i can put over the seats in case of rain? i think I have read of a thing called a 'bikini'top.. anybody know ? :confused:
 
Ah will take the tops off though i didnt before and it looked OK.. Cheers brad, i had a look at exmoors website and got a fright at the prices....
 
you could get one from the littlewoods catalouge. u would need to figure out the cup size thou!

Ah could borrow one of mrs fatrovers... wud do tae lay the whole motor up for a bit under....
 
Had the top off mine last summer. Left it out overnight - terrific un-forecast thunderstorm - no problem. The angle of the windscreen protected the dashboard and radio. There's nothing else to hurt - after all, it's a Landrover ffs.
 
why not go to B&Q, get yourself a few hinges and strategically chop up your hard top bolt on the hinges, before you know it you got a convertible tin top.
 
now thats a damn fine idea.. a bit of judicious wielding of the old angle grinder and away ye go !!! Hmmm will give that some serious thought...
