can anyone advise on this i have the glow plugs but do i need any other bits to do this and whats the best way to do it

Take manifold off is first step.
take off inlet manifold,you will need six new gaskets,be an idea to do leak off pipes as well,they are a bugger and you will need a deep socket,look at other threads on this too,you will need buckets of patience too lol

about a 30-40 min job inlet gaskets from landrover cheap enough and pulgs from sas ngk you can get cheap ones but there **** dont last..... easy todo!!!!
don't buy cheap as they will break and leave you in a world of ****
