believe it or not i didn't even know my 300 tdi disco had one until yesterday mainly because it never worked from when i bought it, so i checked the bulb......works fine, checked the fuse......still in tact, even removed glove box to find the switch and there i found that no power is getting to the switch.......does any body know of anything else i might try to locate problem please.

Perhaps there isn't a switch I can't see it, it only comes on when the side lights are on. and it's the same fuse as the n/s side light

confused the hell out of me!!!!, the switch is directly in the centre of the glove box right at the back, you can only see it when you release the catches and lower the box right down, it's the same kind of switch as the one that operates the interior lights when you open the door but access is limited which would make fault finding hard, in mine there is definately no power to the switch but then the wires dissapear behind the dash, as for the fuse, it doesn't say in the fusebox but according to the haynes manual it's in position 8, i can only think it's a loose connection behind the fusebox.

As I said it's the same fuse as the n/s side light so if thats ok so is the power to the GB lamp.
