I have been a long time landy enthusiast since I was young driving them in PNG, but I have never owned one myself. I was excited about the new Discovery (5), but there is so little aftermarket support and third party products in Aussie, we can't customise the vehicle the way we want, so I haven't bought one.
The new Defender seems to be closer (I'd even venture to say that it is what the Disco5 should have been 'grinning') ... we will see what aftermarket support there is for it, although Land Rover seems to have done a lot of the customisation product work themselves, even developing a bull-bar for Aussie buyers.
My question is that the new Defender was released almost two months ago, but I haven't been able to find any on-road tests (apart from the officially unofficial Land Rover development leaks).
Is anyone aware of any reviews and/or tests for the new Defender? I'm talking about actual testing, not the 'this is what it looks like stationery' videos that were posted after the release!
