Basically on Sunday she ran on 3/4 hot with or without the red "hot" light flashing pretty much all day, and then finally went all the way to hot and started cutting out (discovered to be a dizzy issue so could be unrelated)

Anyway, I have electric fans and obviously they were working overtime, perhaps not quite enough, but it doesn't do this often.

So waddaya reckon? Common issue?

I noticed bearmach do a 4 row radiator, 30% more cooling. My rad is fair pooped anyway tbh, could be due replacement anyway, but they won't be cheap them 4 rows!

Just fishing for ideas

covered in mud, shonky rad and glorious summer weather means hot injun.

I pretty much decided the exact same thing! I realised that it was th warmest day I had been out, that's why it struggled to cool it.

Them bearmach hd rads are 180, not too bad really, and I could get some back for mine on eBay cos it's got no leaks, just a few rows of fins missing...

Anyway, I'm gonna have another test run next time and then decide.

mine ran slightly hot before i got the rad reconditioned, now i struggle to get it up to temp

How much and where? I don't know of any places round here...

lots of place offer to do it , I would google it for your local firm.

K-man got one for his 3.9 and it was cheaper to get a new one I think???????

At least then you still have your old one to get re-cored later if need be.

i've decided to opt for a bearmach 4 row heavy duty jobbie.

should keep me chilled
