Hi, in my current build I have a Rover 3.9 EFi V8 sat in a Disco chassis.

Mechanically it is all connected. Fuel tank and internal pump, battery mounted etc.

Before I go any further I wanted to try and get the engine started as a bit of a test (not seen it running yet). It has a loom fitted and an ecu.

Battery starter and alternator are connected and the batt is earthed. I believe the ecu needs to be secured and earthed (I presume just by the securing bolts).

I have wired in a temporary switch to the fuel pump and starter.

Just wandered whether with a little more tinkering I could get her running. I've been told just a live feed, ign feed and an earth should suffice.

Can anyone explain in laymans terms how I should do this and which are the appropriate wires in the loom?

Lastly, are there any feeds taken from the starter motor to the loom???

Can anyone help please?

earths are on engine rear of head for ecu loom ,ecu can be loose ,you need to put battery feed and ignition feed into loom plug (the one that would plug into car loom, fuel pump feed comes from same plug white/purple irc
