Holy rusticals Batman ! Guess he did not look before purchase [ FB page will not load ] New half chassis only answer here if front is any good.

I guess the only thing holding the vehicle is the rear number plate light screws. Hopefully no one sneezing incase it turns to powdered sugar. Surprised he didn't see the fat tinworms struggling about.

Golden rule of life...never go cheap. A wise Merkan once said, "Nickel & diming always costs many more dollars..."
Dunno. I know one of those sold not long back for £750, similar to that.

With the cost of a galv chassis and bulkhead, that still isn't a lot of money for a Tdi Defender if you do the work yourself.

Your heart would sink wouldn't it, the stuff nightmares are made of, poor fella , he must have been very gullible or the seller was a hypnotist

Most definitely, had to look up the exact meaning -
caveat emptor
/ˌkavɪat ˈɛmptɔː/
  1. the principle that the buyer alone is responsible for checking the quality and suitability of goods before a purchase is made.

The grinder/cutting disc has been in there some. May have been a case of just a couple of small holes to patch:rolleyes: We all know where that can lead to.
