Hi all,
just seen a very cheap tuneing chip on ebay from Germany, (under £60), for a TD4. Has anyone tried it. Pants or not??

forget it, these cheap "tuning" mods on ebay are only a resistor to fool the ECU into thinking there is more air flow thus alter the fuelling, spend the money and get a proper little box which plugs inline with the ECU or get the ECU remapped.

ebay is not always a bargain!!!

get your self a tunning box from roverron on ebay or his website (google it)
its a great bit of kit and has different settings for towing and all sorts 10 different settings in total mine cost £150 best bit of kit ive bought for my freelander ive got mine set on number 5 med power and it more than perfect ive not tried it on full power 145 bhp yet plus i hasnt used any more fuel.

Don't know about this one, I have a TU3 from Roverron on ebay and it's wicked, it has transformed my TD4 + RR is very helpful.

RoverRon - have you any rechip mods for 1.8 k-series.

I know Rovacom, Emerald and Omitech have been suggested on here but all of them are very expensive.

£180 is a good price for diesel power loom

YUP EARTHLING. . .I fitted a German go faster gizmo some years back its really good called a mal cr box [das pomm fritt ] but that was afore r Ron's magic stuff if i twas to do it agin then rover Ron it would be, but having said that the [das pomm fritt] works really well,but for some silly reason always looses power as i go past any military bases. . .
