Hi all my gearlever does not center itself and is perminantley over to the left .
Is there a spring or summat that pulls it into centre or is the problem in the box .
I can get all the gears fine just the leaver is not on centre.
Its a 1998 300 tdi manual .

Mine is the same slightly over the left, there is a spring/clip type mechanism that guides the lever but I am unaware if there is any adjustment.
I wouldnt worry too much if the gears work.

ours is the same i believe this has been covered in another thread yesterday. there is a spring to centre it

hi mate if it is over to the left then the bias plate has probably snapped they are only about £4.

or good old ebay just search for discovery bias plate.
