I had a similar experience a few weeks ago, turned out that the gearbox ecu under the l/h seat had blown a MOSFET, fitted a new ECU next day, all ok now.

hi
when you had the problem is the car ok to drive?

also just noticed when indicating the normal repeating clicking in car to say indicators are on now there is no noise but indicators work,

are the two problems linked with the ecu

how much did you pay for ecu?

thanks
marc

Your problem may be different to mine, but when mine failed, I was stuck in 'low' range, could'nt go far like that! So I hooked up 12v to the ratio-motor behind the transfer box & 'powered' it back into 'high' range, left it like that until I fitted a replacement ECU.
The indicator 'click' is nothing to do with the gearbox ECU, its a small loudspeaker that makes the sound, probably disconnected itself somehow, not importent.
