Hi
I have recently purchased an ex military defender 110 with the 5 speed lt77 gearbox.
I’m not sure if it has a problem or not with the gearbox.
When going into first you have to be very precise otherwise you end up in 3rd or its won’t go in at all. Also the amount of movement on the stick between 1st and 3rd is small, about 1cm.
Reverse is fine as are all other gears. I recently replaced gearbox turret bias springs and nylon cup.
I’ve adjusted the bias springs so that from neutral up is 3rd and down is 4th.
There is no whining groaning or banging noises from gearbox. Just so hard to get into 1st gear.
Is this normal, anyone else have this issue and been able to resolve?
Thanks
Mark
