Just replaced the gearbox on my 110. It's an LT95 4 speed with Fairey overdrive. Not tried it yet so keep your fingers crossed for me!

Anyway, just wondered what is the best oil to use in it? Does the same oil go in box and transfer box? Although they are conjoined on the LT95 they do seem to have separate filler and drain plugs.

fill with 20/50 engine oil fill the gearbox and transfere box then fill the over drive when it drips out the t box level bung it is filled correctly

I use light gearbox oil in mine as I think it is better than engine oil. It is also an option listed for the gearbox. That is, the gearbox came with an option of a limited slip transfer case. In that configuration it is listed to use gearbox oil in both.

You really need to make sure that the seals between the gearbox and transfer case are in good condition as the gearbox runs at a higher oil level than the transfer case. If the seals are not good you will end up with too much oil in the transfer case and not enough in the gearbox.

Transfer case and gear box are integral on this box - are they separated internally or will the oil move between the two?
Cheers

They are separated internally. Oil is not suppose to move between the two, but most older boxes manage to leak between them.

I am not sure why you have the overdrive connected as it would depend on the ratios in the transfer box as to whether it is really needed.
