How can you hear that when driving?

Also it might sound obvious but check the oil.

No it's as the film clip shows, when at a stop, clutch down and I just drop into any gear then starts making this sound. When I release the clutch and take up drive it's fine and silent.
Yes though I should check the gearbox oil and top up, when I work out how or what oil to use??

There's a fill/level plug about halfway up on the right hand side. What gearbox is it, LT77 or R380?

If it only makes the noise when clutch is down I assume you mean disengaged, that means all gears are stationary, after a little time. So I don't see why it's got anything to do with which gear you select? i.e.it makes the noise when clutch is disengaged, simply?
To me that points to either the flywheel/input shaft pilot bearing which usually goes away (the noise that is!) after a little driving or the dual mass flywheel springs (I'm not a Landy expert but I believe the R380 goes with dual mass flywheel on TD5)
I can't see what engine you have so this may be bxxxxcks!
Anyway,I can't see its gears. That's my guess.

Same box as the YouTube link shows reverse is down right Td5
And same symptoms as film link, with clutch down selecting gear whilst stationary it makes the noise, let the clutch up and drive the noise goes away. Selects gears fine. worse when cold and noise goes after driving for a while.

does sound like release bearing.

if it was me, and everything all works fine.. i'd live with it until you need a new clutch; where it should be changed anyway

As previously said, I don't think its gearbox, gears are stationary with clutch depressed.
The YouTube noise is more of a rattle wheras release bearings usually make a whine/whistle continuous noise, not a rattle sound.
If it's a TD5 it could be dual mass flywheel if you want the expensive answer, that's what it's there for at idle to absorb the diesel vibes so that could be knackered.
Alternatively if there's no noise when driving like said above keep driving.

Ref gearboxes, they rattle when knackered at idle with clutch engaged, i.e. driving the gears around. Lay/counter shaft rotating and sloppy bearings/gears causing the rattle.
Alternatively they whine when under load/driving due to worn faces of gear teeth.
It didn't sound like either of those.
Apologies if you know this already; I'll get my hat.

As previous post, if noise is only present when clutch pedal is pushed down suspect clutch release bearing.

Noise only present when clutch pressed but only when a gear selected. as soon as you drive the noise goes, also no noise after driving for a while, mainly when cold??
