Need to get underneath the old girl to give the gearbox a good clean to see where oil is seeping from....

Now, apart from shaft seals are there any other seals that could be replaced with the box in situ, also, there seems to be about 3 drain plugs??

Box is a standard s3 one..

So could someone tell me which are drains, and where the filling ones are (Will I need to remove floor etc) and what sort of oil goes where, got the London to Brighton coming up soonish, and wanna do it all under me own steam etc....

All yo need to know here:
Series III

I use a length of washing machine hose & a Funnel. I take the seat bases out and access panels. 2 people is easier. 1 to put the hose in the filler holes and the other to fill the funnel.
Mine leaked fron the handbrake oil seal, making the handbrake useless as well.
EP90 Oil only.

no need to do all that - i use a small 1.5litre garden pressure sprayer with a hose and tap on the tube - pressurise it and then just watch it fill - dead easy :D

Dont forget to remove the spray nozzle. It can all be done from underneath:D:D:D

gl5 eats yer syncros and any other bronze bits..it should have the spec on the bottle

ere slob - yu sure its the GL4 that eats the syncros and not GL5?
