So recently put in a reconditioned LT77 G suffix and 1st and second is still a little crunchy and sometimes hard to find. The guy I got it off said it's because I had a Britpart clutch fitted and the guy that fitted it said it may be a sycromesh issue and a 3rd party said it may fix itself after 1000 miles. Any ideas?

!st/2nd Synchro hub is a weak point on these and R380 box's, put up with it until something else goes wrong.

Who did the reconditioning? Any issues with sycromeshes etc. should have been dealt with then.
As for the clutch coursing problems, surely if it was at fault it would do it in every gear, not just 1st/2nd?.. Could be wrong though.

Whomsoever did the reconditioning didn't change the baulk rigs. They are the first things in a syncro hub that wear. Specially on first and second.

+1, you could try eliminating the clutch drag possibility by jacking one front wheel up, hand brake on, engine idling, into first, hold clutch pedal down and see if the jacked wheel spins. It may move but should be stopped fairly easily (i.e there should be no real power behind it).

+1 for the baulk rings. Frist to second and third to second crunch is a classic sign of a worn LT77. It can continue to work like that for ages though, just slow the changes down.

I've never heard of a gearbox fixing itself after a few miles. I'd go back to the gearbox reconditioner. They do become quieter as the gears bed in to each other but yours sounds like a syncro problem. A clutch issue would be present in all gears.
