Can I have some advice please.
At idle and in neutral the gear lever of my 1962 2a 88" moves from side to side and "buzzes".
I'm told that it is a worn bush at the selector end but which one please?
Many people just put up with this but after 10 years' ownership I've decided to fix it.

How do you do it, is it complicated and how long would it take me, a reasonable self taught spannerman to do the job.

Thank you.

has the pivot much play ,is locater pin broken or worn , you can get play with the stick if ball that locates in to the selector jaws wear

Pull the tunnel up and have a look. There should be a rubber-oring that sits in a groove at the end of the gear stick. They don't last for ever. Easy enough to replace. You might even be able to do it without removing the floor.
