Hi, I am thinking of replacing the plastic gear knob on my 99T Freelander (non-HDC)with a nice alloy one.

Question is, do they just unscrew, or pull off (don't want to ruin it)?

I replaced mine with a MOMO gear knob, hated the old square handle.

I fabricated an aluminium collar to sit just inside the rubber gaitor. You'll have a gaping hole when the original is removed
