Hi to everyone as i am new to this forum after just purchased a Defender 2.5Tdi County 110.
I am having a small problem, not serious but a little annoying, First and second seem fine and 3rd seem very close with 1st in side travel but when i go to 4th it seems out of align, sometimes it goes in and sometimes i need a little towards 5th to get it to slot in.
It seems it is sprung naturally into 3-4th gear position and pressure is needed for 1-2 and same for 5th.
When in this relaxed position it seems 3rd go in ok but 4th is not aligned and i have to apply a very small amount towards fifth.
The gear change is ok and no effort once aligned.
Is this likely to be worn selector bushes or can it be adjusted?

Thanks for help.:)

at the bottom of gear lever is the turret there under the rubber gaiter 2 6mm 10mm spanner sized bolts adjusting theses alters the bias of the spring and lowering them both (screwing in)puts more spring pressure on lever though you can go to far ,have a play ,if you remove turret you will see a yoke on upper selector shaft grub screw can come loose 5mm allen key
