Hello,

I need to change the oil in my gear box and transfer box on my 1989 110 CSW V8.

I have never done this before and am looking for some advice, i have herd that it is a difficult job to do, as its difficult to get to.

Any advice you have to give would be appreciated.

many thanks,

Scott.

Eyup scott, get an oil suction pump from machine mart or somewhere similar. Once you've dumped your old oil (and put the drain plugs back), the suction pump will make it easier for filling on account of the flexi pipe that comes with it.

Take your transmission tunnel of and the bit from under the middle seat and use a funnel attached to a bit of hose. And while you've got that lot off give everything a good pressure wash.

I posted this link recently but here goes again,

also, when I posted this originaly someone said, to get a funnel and piece of pipe, fill the funnel with the correct amount of oil needed, and keep the funnel up high (get someone to hold it or jam it in a work bench) then kink the pipe, once you have it in the filler hole, unkink it and away you go.

Did mine a few weeks ago, and actully just managed to squeeze the bottles filler neck into the holes and refill them, not a difficult job.
