good day to all

I am looking to bring in a set of pressure gauges for a Land Defender TD5. I am thinking about oil pressure and turbo boost gauge. Could you recommend a dealer who has a decent knowledge of Land rover to purchase those;
thank you to all and have a nice day

not so sure personally, I look at it like manual engine management,
I got boost, oil temp, pressure, volts and the usual water/fuel, adding EGT to it shortly. can see what everythings doing then.
in my experience oil temp is a more accurate reading of engine temp than water, and seems to fluctuate faster is somthings wrong.

why ,because they look pretty

no because i drive in the bush all day instead of being on asphalt road like you most probably and I like to be aware of what is going on in my engine... you have a problem with that..???
You are a senior member of this forum and that is only the kind of answer you are able to formulate???
I live in a country where land rover equipement are very difficult to get and I have the right to ask what ever question I want... got it ??
On another forum my member name is Legio patria Nostra but maybe you can get that one either and it is not to look or to sound pretty.
I do not know who you are but in my book you are nothing to make this kind of comment to somebody.
I guess as senior you must be almost senile

that is usual reason for wanting extra guages ,a mechanically minded person who really wants to keep a vehicle reliable ,would check vehicle and engine before starting each day and gain an idea of what was happening ie gradual coolant loss ,oil level changing ,condition of viscous fan ,rad ,oil leaks etc etc .apart from that i would alter your attitude if you want help, and you can google ebay as well as any other

its a TD5, dont nanocom or someone do a module to use as a MFD, that way you can monitor all the engine sensors real time if you need to

yes, the evolution, they even make a mount for it.

would be usable for diagnostics too, far better use of money by the time youve bought a few gauges, wiring, senders, adaptors. the Nanocom would be plug n play and give more info than you would ever need day to day.

Good day,
Since I am on this forum I have all my question in a very polite manner and in general I had very polite and decent answer.
I do consider that your answer " quote" why because they look pretty" is not professional, sarcastic and offensive.
It is the second time that i asked for this kind of info and in general if I ask this twice it is because I have been looking already on google and could not find what i wanted and look from additional advice from people who own and maintain Land Rover like me.
I just do not appreciate people being condescended and arrogant with me specially when they are behind a computer scree few thousand miles away from me. It would not come to my mind to answer anybody on a very legitimate question like you did.
case closed.

One gauge for all sounds good to me. Must admit I do miss gauges you can scan all of them and soon notice if one is not in its usual attitude. Tim are you and yours as in Tim & Cat we used to camp with someone with the same user name. Can understand where Bushmaster is coming from as you need to know if things are not looking good at the early stages if in the middle of nowhere I hope he can get some help with his quest.

gOOD DAY AND THANK YOU FOR YOU ANSWER.
i live in Suriname and french guyana in south america. I work for the french army at the border between the 2 countries and spend 80% of my time in the forest. i have a Land Defender TD5 Crew cab from 2000 and we are together non stop in a really difficult area. i want to have a good monitoring of my oil pressure, oil temperature as TD5 are known for oil pump failure. I cannot really afford too much failure from my engine as the first town is basically 8 hours from my camp.
This is the reason why i am looking for an address or a web page to puirchse such gauges. I have been looking around on the web but frankly what I have seen was not really impressive. Thank you for the support

td5s are known for bolt holding drive sprocket on to oil pump coming loose and dropping out, oil pump then has no drive thus no oil pressure ,light in dash will tell you that ,if you really want to protect your engine buy lyp101400 and fit that if its not already, buy a spare in tank fuel pump and look up other common faults that will leave you stuck

+1.he asked a civil question and got a load of crap for doing that.:(

no he didnt ffs,if you want to make a td5 or any other reliable for remote useage ,fitting guages isnt the answer it has the effect of stopping people doing those real checks and carrying out real preventative work
