05 3door diesel. Does any one know of a cheap Gas Strut replacement that sits under the tailgate door rather than pay the robbers. I noticed the other week that the tailgate slammed shut, later I discoverd oil on the rear plastic plate under the T/gate.

Try a breakers yard, most hatchbacks have them, you might find one that will fit.
