was looking at my 110 parked on a flat car park at work the other day, and noticed its leaning to the passenger side quite a bit, and possibly forward slightly. is it just a weak spring or something? i think its in need of some new shocks, not 100% tho, the back seems really bouncy but then it is an empty 110..?
any advice? ta

Collapsed spring the most likely ... replace all four is the best option with shocks too if the old ones are weeping or very old. The shocks only act as dampers, the springs are what cause the vehicle to list. Mine did the same with the rear springs ... the whole Landy was pointing upwards so I fitted a complete new kit for £250 using Bearmach blue + 2" springs and Pro-comp 2000 shocks.

yehh i thought so too. may aswell get shocks while im there thats all i thought. just priced up £100 for new standers shocks and springs on paddocks! cant winge! another thing on the list!

no all 4! must be **** ones tho, i only had a quick glance probably ****part or sumat. 14 for each shock, and 10 per coil!

A lot of Paddocks stuff is Britpart. And for suspension, I would give Britpart a wide berth. I bought a full set of genuine LR springs & dampers as a kit for my 1996 110, including bushes, from RimmerBros. Cost me about £300 though.

Have a look here

hmm to the back of the list this goes then! cant be arsed spending loads on that when i cant really tell anyway!

Rear end shouldn't be at bouncy at all. Shock absorbers are there to stop that. If it weaves when you overtake a lorry then shocks are shot. Changing the springs and shocks was the best thing I ever did on mine as it made it so much more driveable. I'd go along with the advice about buying quality parts. Cheaper in the long run.

My 110 was sagging over the front right wheel. It would also wallow around roundabouts as if it was gunna topple over:eek:

After having new genuine springs, shocks & bushes fitted it now feels like Im driving on rails. Wish Id done it sooner:)

oh god yes its hell when arround lorries! blowing allover the road. roundabout and sharp bends are abit tetchy. new shocks and springs it is! guna have to be a few months away tho sadly i think :-(

actually, i havnt got to buy much for her now... bits that i have just need fitting! have already bought them. maybe they will be on next months shopping list! definitely going to look arround at some brands. those rimmer ones look alright. quite dear, have to look about. bearmach any good?

Yeh the britpart springs you mentioned earlier are bright yellow, let alone the fact their britpart.

I just bought some armstrong springs and shocks, cost me about £120 for the whole lot!

Price has gone up by a couple of pound since the VAT raise but armstrong are a bit better than britpart, pretty standard shocks and springs, they are black and actually for my def 90 have given it a much more comfortable ride.
