Hi there I have a defender 90 with a discovery 200tdi engine I'm wanting to gain more speed and poke out of it I've already got a straight through exhaust and had the turbo turned up I havnt had the pump turned up as the guy I had the engine off says ( you dunt wanna do that ) I dunt know why and didn't explain so why would that be? And wot other mods can I do thanx

Would be nice but just had his 200tdi put in ..is there any reason why I shouldn't turn the pump up

No reason just that it'll smoke if you give it too much. I would screw it in a quarter of a turn and see what happens, then another quarter etc till you're happy with it,

I running insa turbos special track tyres and why would the mechanic who fit the engie tell me not to turn the pump up ?
