Hi New to the site, My question to the wise out there.. Recently got a 2011 Automatic Freelander 2 SD4, Averaging 27 MPG on general run around. Previous car was a 58 plate Freelander 2 TD4 manual with over 175K on clock but i was getting 33MPG on general run around and 40 / 44 MPG on a long run. Is it normal for such a difference ? I have been told to have the transmission serviced as this will make a difference, as i do feel it changes gears when i am not expecting it too, like crossing a small bridge incline at around 27 / 30 mph. Is there antway of improving the fuel consumption, ? Cheers
