Decided I'd better give the chassis the Lanoguard teatment before winter.
Then noticed the fuel tank cradle had broken off at the front, and is just hanging from the rear mountings.
It doesn't seem to be actually supporting the tank, so can it be replaced without disturbing the tank?

Better off removing the tank and cleaning up the area , probably welding out of sight places and painting.
Then refit with new brackets

Not done it myself, but I think it should be ok as long as you make sure the tank is fully supported when you remove it.

Yes, the tank wont just fall out. It has to go sideways to get it in and out.
