Since using the G4 1.8 Kalahari I have noticed a smell of petrol after filling the tank.

Short term solution, didn't fill tank!!

Today looked at pump in tank top. Screw ring was on cross thread and stains on top of tank.

Tank only 1/4 full and so I removed the cross threaded ring and the seal was not fitted correctly either.
Reseated the seal. Silicone sprayed the tank neck and refitted the ring several turns by hand then tightened with a cold chisel and hammer.

All flat and level now.
Another easy fix.
Just the steering wheel to align and the car will feel like it has had some love!!!
