Hi.

I am seriously lacking in power since my Disco went into the garage. It was smoking a fair bit so I took it in. Matey said that someone in the past had taken the top off the fuel pump and turned it up, he said he has put it back to standard again.

Only thing is there is no power at all now. Slow down loads going up hills etc. Motorway speed up hills is about 30mph. It was verging on being too fast before but now it is way too slow.

Problem is, garage has closed now and im stuck ! Had a search round but could not find a guide or something similar ??

To turn the fuel up you need to take the diaphragm out of the pump and turn it round so that the larger slope is pointing towards the front of the vehicle, don't turn it all the way to the big step position if you have std intercooler fitted, this is likely to damage something. There is also a toothed wheel in the top of the pump that gives more fuel at lower boost, turn this clockwise to increase, again, not too much, 5 clicks then try it, then another 5 clicks if it's not enough, I'd stop at 10 clicks tho.
