hi,do a search on here mate as it has been well documented on how to do it,plus the dimensions of the hole you need to cut in the floor to save you dropping the tank.;)

trust me its worth the agro to cut a hole in the floor we done mine a few months ago as long as u get the measurments right and take ur time doing it . u will be ok we used a small angle grinder to do mine with a cutting disc in took us about an hour in total ..

Through the floor, definitely. I followed Canyon's post on here and did it easily. It also means that you can check your connections for leaks, check your float for the gauge and, if like me, you just use a plate and a couple of self tappers to close the flap, do it all again in minutes in the future if you have to.

Hate to be the only dissenting voice but - I dropped the tank on mine to clean the filter on the pick up due to some poor fuel a couple of months ago - all done in an hour and a half - use new jubilee clips - cut off the old ones three bolts hold the tank up - the unions are held in by push fit collars - cradle the tank on a board on a trolley jack for lifting up and down - put the RR at wading height leave the tail gate open for extra room - O.K. I admit it does mean grovelling round on the floor a little but it would have took me longer to measure cut and fix up the holes.
