I have an 87 Ford F-150, 300 6cyl, with a fuel pump problem. I've went
through a few already, and seem to have to change them sooner each time.
It's the low pressure fuel pump in gas tank. Any suggestions on what the
main problem could be would be very much appreciated.
Thanks!!!

A couple of thoughts come to mind...
Have you taken one of the old pumps apart to see what failed and why?
The first is obvious - dirt.
The second is a little less so - pump motor overheating due to low voltage
caused by a crummy ground.

I'm assuming clean filters and everything else working normally...
I suggest you scrap one of the old pumps and do a full diagnostic.
