A really daft question.

Should a 1994 defender 300 tdi have some sort of link pipe from the turbo to the fuel pump, to add fuel with boost pressure.

Bear in mind my Defender is 45mins away at my folks, and I am finding it difficult to sleep while thinking about this dilemma.

I can't remember what my 300tdi disco setup was, if there should be some pipes they are missing, which is likely.

The motor runs fine and boosts fine, and there are no obvious air leaks or sucking noises. There is no EGR valve on it.

The Haynes does not show anything either.

disco is the same as defender and rrc ,yes they have a boost pipe running from turbo to top of injection pump

There is a rubber connector on the top of the fuel pump which looks like it should have something attached to it, better do some more checking.
