Please help, need to get going so i can start restoring!! i have a diesel series 3, i have been bleeding it fine to the fuel distributor with no air bubbles but there are two bleed screws coming out of the distributor and i am only able to get it out of 1 (the nearest to the engine), the second, next to, does not produce any sign of fuel at all. i am getting no fuel into the engine at all, i have been told its unusual for a fuel distributor to go wrong? HELP!!!

try slackening the pipes at the injectors, one at atime and then bled it there.
if yer can

stick a fresh fuel filter on it if u are nt getting pressure at the pump and its been stood around a while chances are you ve dragged a load of **** up when you change the filter crack the 2 nuts and pump the fuel up manualy with the little hand pump to the left of the big pump when looking down on it

Thanks for your help, there seemed to be no chance of bleeding with the manual pump, after 2 days of trying, dragged it along the road for half a mile and off she went!! runs like a dream now after 5 years stood outside! cheers peeps

might be a good idea to have another filter on standby as you get a lot of rust in the bottom of the tank i drained mine out through a pair of tights and changed the filter twice there was enough **** in there to fill a pint glass she now starts on the button every time and ticks over a lot smoother than before
