Hi everyone, long story but cut short.
So- Defender 90 04. Had a fuel leak, tracked it back to fuel pressure reg. decided to repair, found lots of good advice on internet / forums etc. wasn't as difficult to remove as i was told it would be, cleaned it down put in new reg. o rings, gasket, refitted and started up, fine.
Just about to put top cover back on and now noticed a leak on the hose, must have somehow disturbed it @£$!!!$!%. Anyhow i need to replace it. Its the hose from the front of the engine, i think its the return? to the regulator.
Ive tried the internet again for advice but cant get any further than fuel pressure gauge problems / refit etc. Access to the hose is good at regulator end but the other end looks a bit tricky. Any help / tips would be much appreciated.

I replaced my whole regulator a few years ago. The new one came with a hose that seems to be the one you're describing. As access was difficult, and the old hose was fine, I didn't bother fitting it.

The landy's not at home at the moment (wife's borrowed it - argh!) but as I recall you'll need to take off the inlet manifold. Are you sure it's not just an O-ring on the union that needs a clean and re-fit?

Sorry I can't be of more help.

Hi guineafowl, the hose is from the pressure regulator to the front of the cylinder head. The regulator end is easy to get off its the other end that looks difficult.
The leak is from the swage on the metal pipe to rubber hose.

Yes, that's the one I didn't bother replacing. At least you've got a nice long weekend to replace it :D
