Now I knew I needed a new sensor as its been disconnected since I got the Disco a month ago. But now its peeing out the sensor when I started it tonight, threw about 3 litres down the road......

It should get you out the deep stuff til you can get a new filter. You can buy the water sensors on there own but as they are prone to giving false signals and leaking you may be better off getting filters with the plastic drain valve on the bottom and simply unplugging the sensor wire.
