Just got myself my first disco, 1992 3 door, the fuel gauge is allways on empty ( yes i have put diesel in ) with the light on, seems like the sender has stuck... how do you get to it ?
The sender is in the tank to get access lift the boot carpet and you will see a round plate in the floor remove that and you will see the access into the tank and the sender.
